7th round #249 overall to the St. Louis Rams

256 total picks in the draft
picked by his hometown mizzou rams

I'm not saying it's nothing but a publicity stunt, but it's nothing but a publicity stunt

definitely a publicity stunt. there will be a 54 man roster for St. Louis and all teams will secretly approve.

They could've gotten him as a free agent.

The more important question is if defense in the SEC is dead? The SEC DPOY of the year and conference leader in sacks and TFL was a 7th round draftee and maybe only as a publicity stunt. This conference has fallen. Much like Sodom and Gomorrah.

That being said, I don't remember a SEC DPOY ever not being a legit pick.

Sam was a great college player. Don't get me wrong. But he just doesn't have the intangibles to be a great NFL player IMO

If it was for publicity, some team would've taken him much earlier.
The Rams wouldn't have been the only team wanting attention.

I don't disagree. I'm just saying: if you're the defensive player of the year in the best football conference in America, you're a legitimate pick.

Yeah, usually SEC defensive players of the year go in the 1st round.

Actually, his home town is in Texas. Everyone said he would be a late pick. I doubt the Rams were seeking publicity as much as they wanted the DPOY from the SEC.

He's referring to the journey into deeper debauchery and perversion and the governments insistence on the acceptance of it.

There was no well in hell the NFL was gonna let him go undrafted.

I'm sure Goodell made it be known, if he wasn't off the board by the end, somebody was gonna take him with one of those 7th round compensatory picks.
