Mark Richt still doesn't have control of that program. He's even said in the past that he doesn't care about getting penalties; yet I'm curious to see how many games those penalties have cost his teams.

That 2007 team jumped in the polls just because they beat a Florida team that couldn't stop just anyone. In addition Stafford, and Moreno were selfish guys not really invested in the program. They were reading their press, and preoccupied with the NFL.
And they have Helen as their coach.

Because we had 20+ season ending injuries.

We're approaching a decade since Richt has won an SEC championship. I'm wondering if he'll ever get another one.
Richt is the new Fulmer

Mine too, and it was the funnest freaking game I've ever attended. More fun than the 2008 SECCG.

I disagree with this alot. I think the 2007 team was better than the 2008 team. They were the best UGA team I have seen in Richt's tenure, regardless of the names on the jerseys.

It's clear that Georgia players hate Mark Richt and treat playing for Georgia like pre-season games for their NFL careers. Like someone said above - NFL factory, nothing else.

There were a ton of injuries that year. Makes this year look like a few shoulder stingers in comparison

Don't forget about Dannel Ellerbe also being on that team...or Reshad Jones...or Fernando Velasco...or Jarius Wynn...or Ben Jones. All in the league right now in some form or fashion

uhhhh.... no. the two SEC Championship teams were better, and possibly the 2004 team.

After reading all this, I figured the OP is an idiot and doesn't deserve a proper response to the question. Anyone who thinks richt is too soft, or has no fire, or doesn't show emotion, knows LITERALLY nothing about what they're talking about.

the hate MR gets on this board is really strange to me.... he's not Nick Saban, but who is?
He had a National Championship calibre team in 2002... 13-1... smoked FSU in the Sugar Bowl. Had the chips fallen different in 02, MR's legacy would be completely different... but would he be any more/less of a coach b/c of it?
You don't win as much as he gas for as long as he has in the conference without being very good.

That roster is sick. Wow....

Durham was a good role player, similar to Michael Bennett now. Cordy Glenn was either a freshman or sophomore.

Did they even play? They were both on last year's team, so in 2008 they would be RSFr yes?

The actual top to bottom roster looks better than reality, based on what guys did as upperclassmen or what they're doing in the NFL. Just FYI
