I may be wrong, but there could be some attitude issues possibly that need to get worked out.

Me, too. My seats are on the 50, just below the pressbox. I am the guy with the UA gear!

That is an interesting perspective on Kyler. What makes you think he might have attitude issues? I am not flaming you... sincerely interested in your take and reasoning. I have friends in the athletic department at AHS that say just the opposite. Interestingly enough, Alec was the one they thought may have attitude issues at the next level, but he has done just fine in his roll at UA.

When faced against a good Desoto team, Allen was dang lucky to escape with a win and his passes and runs were pretty bad.

DeSoto was tough for Kyler pass-wise. That said, he has that "it" where he always seems able to come through in the clutch.

I feel he needs to do a lot more work on passing accuracy with consistency. He throws a damn pretty ball, though.

Murray is a good player and I want him to 3peat with Allen. I also think it is great he is going to be an Aggie, because of his Dad.

Agreed on all three counts there.

Do you plan on going Saturday?

True. We hope he don't.

He's not. Gilbert threw the ball like an NFL QB in HS. And piled up almost 800 yards rushing in a single season

That is why I said I may be wrong, just rumors and talk around town. Not from AD people, but parents of kids in AHS. It is a big school, so I am sure there are all different versions of how he really is.

Most people love him around here, we got a chance to get 3 in a row

He does have an "it" factor, he just needs to turn it off when he plays the Rebels in a few years

Will not make it this weekend, but I hoping for a chance to see them the weekend after

You are

Murray is likely going to finish his HS career undefeated with three consecutive state titles and the state record for total yards by a QB. All of this against the toughest HS competition in the country.

I'm not sure a 5'8" QB is gonna scare many in the SEC.

Manziel was sub-6'.
when he was being recruited he was listed as 6'1" and 193 lbs. At the combine he was 5'113/4" 207. Murray is probably nick saban's height in reality

Yes, because every super star high school QB has worked out perfectly at the next level.

He is a great HS player though and we have been lucky for his talent.

Laugh Out Loud.

He is smallish, but he is really 5'11...

Helluva good baseball player, too. A friend of mine in their baseball program thinks he would have a real shot at the show were he to commit to baseball exclusively. Remarkable, considering he stands to cash in BIG with the baseball draft next year, provided his senior season is similar/better to his junior season.

Murray isn't just a star, he has a legitimate argument for being the greatest HS QB ever.

Murray can be the #1 pick but A&M will never have a defense due to the type of offense they run...you can have Belichick, Parcells, Buddy Ryan, Rex Ryan, and Saban coordinating that defense and it will only get marginally better...a tired D can't do much

Just got back from the Allen/Skyline game. Murray has such a sweet fricking touch. But he is not a big man. Hard to tell how he transitions. Looks like he passes better than Manziel but may not be quite as cagey a runner.

Allen is a damn machine. Murray has eons of time to go through his rotations and at least in this game, no rush to worry about.

But a damn fine get by A&M. I just think with his size you have to just wait and see if lightening strikes twice.

I've never heard of seen a texas high school football player better than him. Outstanding young man and I can't wait to see him on Kyle.

He may legitimately be the GOAT at the high school level in the history of Texas Friday night lights.

Appreciate the update. His size concerns me but I'm sure he'll bulk up once he gets on campus.
