Put a picture of Grier beside your roid head and let's compare.

Honestly, I can easily see why folks would bring up roids after looking at this kid. How in the frick can you be that big, that ripped, that strong and that fast before you turn 18? Furthermore, just look at the Bama roster as a whole and most of the team looks like that. Scott Cochran is a great coach but damn.......

Non-homer Bama fans are so rare I don't even know how to respond to one.

I love people acting like this dude is going to step in and be Henry. Let's not forget Henry is the high school rushing record holder, a true running back. This dude is a linebacker and runs the ball like one.

Derrick Henry high school rushing stats:
12,124 yards and 153 TDs

Bo Scarbrough high school rushing stats:
1,332 yards and 12 TDs

Henry had one full year as a very serviceable backup, and showed out in the bowl as a freshmen. This guy has played in 4 games and amassed a grand total of 100 yards.

Tap the breaks.

I'm not saying none of them have ever taken any "supplements", BUT, there are some physical freaks out there. Physical freaks are attracted to football. Bama gets the best football players in the nation, and therefore, the most physical freaks. It's pretty simple, really.

It's pretty rare to find things you don't bother to look for.

Fortunately or unfortunately, there aren't many Bama fans here for me to do research on. The ones that I do know are just like the ones I encountered during my time in B'ham.

Here's Scarborough as a junior in high school (which would have made him 16 or 17).

He was exceptionally strong and that fast before he ever committed to Alabama.

roadGator, I am a Bama grad, and an observer of Bama football since the Tennessee game of 1945. I am a fan, but as I understand today's definition of "homer," I don't believe I am. I don't talk trash, don't brag about games not played (or most that have been). I love the game, but wonder about folks who "hate" people they have not met simply because they wear another color uniform. I appreciate the young men who entertain us. They work hard, knowing that the odds are they will have some sort of injury during their playing career. I have a favorite team, but no real dislike for any of them. (Probably a boring sports life for a lot of folks)

Yes, that's what horse steroids will do for you. They will also make you obsolete by the time you're 25.

Don't forget we also pay the refs. The SEC offices are in B'ham, which means we get the favorable... everything. And, we all live in trailers, unlike the fine, affluent, educated folk of our nation's beacon of light, Louisi-fricking-ana.
