Bingo! First rule of Saban (on offense): if you don't block, you don't play..goes for EVERYBODY (exc. QB )

Again, he was a very good blocker his junior year and PFF ranked him as an elite blocker this past year (although the QB might be the issue this past year).

And there you have it. Again, last 2 years, you had Calvin Ridley, ArDarius Stewart and others catching passes, plus turning and handing it to Henry, Scarbrough, Jacobs, Harris, etc. It didn't really help either that BAMA had first year QBs throwing the ball either. I know Coker was a 5th year guy but he had very limited game action and Hurts was a rookie. You don't want a green QB throwing late over the middle!!

Maybe somebody could include McShay's predictions for the whole first round. I know I wanted the Panthers to get OJ Howard and then draft up with one of their second round picks and get Mccaffrey in the 20's.

That's the thing to me, he isn't just a normal TE catching passes over the middle. This dude should've been pushed outside and had deep fade routes and red zone jump balls all fricking day.

I understand Bama is stacked, so I get spreading it around. I just think you'll see his potential in the NFL and its not like NFL teams don't have a ton of options too.

He was criminally under used.

He didn't get the stats in college he was capable of, for sure. And I wish he'd have been used more as well, but the goal is winning. So if OJ was used more/better you think he would have left Bama with 4 SEC championships instead of just 3? He isn't what cost them against OSU in 2014 (not running the ball did). He helped win the title in 2015, and had a great title game in 2016.

His stats aren't legendary, but he was used enough to showcase his skills and blocking, and will leave with little abuse on his body (which is what most non-Bama fans care so much about when it comes to Bama players).

That's fair.

I do think, which is hard to believe, that you could've been more dominant.
