Exactly what "hole" has he dug himself in? Getting drafted in the 5th round instead of the 3rd or 4th

Some of you people need to take a step back and reevaluate

Teams are looking for leaders; not whiney bitches who blame everyone for not being a 1st Rounder.

You really want to question the leadership of a guy who qb'ed two teams to a national championship...have you ever footballed bro?

Play on the field trumps all.

You can be the nicest guy in the world but if you suck you'll get no where.

You can be the biggest a-hole in the world but if you play great you'll make it.

Results on the field are all that matters, the rest is just teenage girl gossip drama.

Bama fans surely realize AJ catches so much grief here because he's from Bama, right?

Right?

I have no idea whether he'll make it or not (Manziel, either, FWIW). I hope he does. If he ends up replacing Dalton (doubtful) all this stuff will go away. If he ends up being a solid backup all this stuff will go away. If he ends up being cut, this stuff will recycle and be amplified for your reading pleasure. He needs to STFU and concentrate on winning a job. And not by whining about his adversity. I think he's good enough to do that, but all of his statements so far sound like he's already making excuses to fail.

As I've said elsewhere, I think AJ is probably the best Bama QB of my lifetime. But, he's always had an immature douche air about him. I think he means well but lacks the social skills and self awareness to pull it off.

And he's in the NFL now, which I don't watch. So, whatever.

The question is can AJ beat out Jason Campbell for the backup job?

I agree, I think he wants to come across as confident but only ends up looking entitled and aloof. I think the level of success he achieved and a fanbase that is full of sycophants only feeds this persona.

With the lack of success Bama QB's have had in the NFL you would think someone would have advised him to approach the draft like someone who had something to prove. He will learn very quickly that those BCS titles and all those wins mean nothing in the NFL. I wish him well.
