Matt Stevens was a guest on our local afternoon show in BR on Friday elaborating on his trip. He stated that he spent his time in the northern part of Lafayette. Needless to say, that is considered the hood to most people in the area. So don't be surprised if someone perceived his comments as racist.

Well if you had ever read anything else that he writes, he also trashes Starkville, so it's not like he was shitting on Lafayette while calling Starkville the greatest city on earth.

I didn't say that was the case. Look, I know you want to separate State from this arse, and I don't blame you. But you can't just post hearsay bullshite and expect anyone to take you seriously. If you have something real that this guy has done before this that's worthy of firing him, then post it.

I am legit curious what this guy has done. They're not going to fire a guy over writing some articles that piss people off. Hell, someone has to give the ok for the article to make it in the paper.

Well one of the reasons that I can't stand the chode is because he was the one that "broke" the story about Will Redmond getting a discount on a Mustang because the guy was a State fan.
He's constantly a dick to people on twitter when they ask him questions about something he is covering, for absolutely no reason.
What he said about UL was just a small peak into what we have to deal with all the time.

Well he wasn't fired after those things. He was fired after the Laffy comments. Unless you know someone in the paper staff or something, you're just continually making up bullshite to support your theory that the paper wanted him fired the entire time. Even though they never fired him.
