Listening to Moscona on Finebaum and I tend to agree with him. Jones inherited an Auburn-like roster from Trent and has improved the record each year. He had some bumps in the road this year but maybe expectations were unrealistic to begin with
Also, LSU should act responsibly and save money rather than paying a large buyout

I would say it's a tie between LSU an Auburn.
Like Jones, Bruce Pearl inherited a complete dumpster fire. We canned the Baseball coach pre-season. and we can't afford to fire Gus. We're more alike than different.

Jones is doing the impossible. Missing the tourney with the talent this team has is nothing short of a miracle.

he was 22-11 last year and made the NCAAT. He will regress this year

it doesn't take 4 years to rebuild a team in basketball. he's had the talent to make the NCAAT the last 3 years and the best he's been able to do was a first round exit last year. and he just got dominated by a terrible tennessee team without their best player.

To think Jones will ever get a better starting 5 than this is ridiculous. If he can't even make the tourney with this group, he won't win with anyone.
