I certainly couldn't tell. Apparently the replay official couldn't either

so pointing out facts about blatant disregard for the enforcement of the governing rules of a football game is whining?

When you won, and your rant is one sided in a two sided officiating disaster, then yeah, it strikes me as whining.

clear that an Auburn player initially recovered that fumble.

He was closest to the fumbled ball for a split second before the A&M player arrived. That's just not possession. There is no image of him possessing the ball, just him encircling it loosely a half second before the A&M player reaches in.

Call could have gone either way but it went our way. But you weren't robbed or cheated on this one

You scored four plays after the fumble/incomplete pass. The rest shows your inferiority complex. There were 3 face mask missed calls one would have continued a likely touchdown drive that was stopped, but somehow after winning you don't see that either.

We beat them 59-0. No excuse is going work.

However, it seemed pretty clear that an Auburn player initially recovered that fumble.
It was, Cam Artis-Payne clearly recovered the ball. The showed it over the big screen in the stadium and Auburn fans started cheering. Then, when the play wasn't overturned, the crowd erupted in anger. Now, while I said Cam Artis-Payne initially recovered it, I think it is painfully obvious that the Texas A&M player ripped it from him while in the pile.

Anyways, in an interview after the game, the Texas A&M player was quoted as saying something along the lines of, "I'm not saying who initially recovered it, but I ended up with it..." Those aren't exact words, but they are along the lines.

It is what it is, but that wasn't why Auburn lost the game. Auburn lost the game because of the defense, point blank. You can't let a true freshman come into Jordan Hare Stadium and rip your defense to shreds like some Heisman contender would. That is completely inexcusable.

They just don't let players wrestle over a ball in that situation

Yes they do.

A split second shot of Payne with both hands touching the ball and with his arms extended away from his body does not equal possession. That's never how refs handle fumbles. Never.

Good god, a couple of you people, don't be LSU fans. One of the things I appreciated about th4 aftermath of this game was that, despite some mention of bad officiating, both sides were mostly acknowledging that good play and crucial mistakes were the real factors in the outcome instead of starting countless paranoia threads because you can't accept reality. It was a hard-fought game and whether or not the OP is trolling (it could go either way) y'all both played a helluva game.

Getting torched by a true freshman QB and having a chip shot FG blocked and returned for a TD to end the half isnt "playin a helluva game"

He is a thief. He steals things. He stole a loss from A&M Saturday.

I wish you would just openly claim the moral victory of us losing to TAMU. Go ahead and hang a banner next to your SEC West Division one and print some t-shirts.

Don't be pissed at the refs then, be pissed at your RB who cant hold onto the ball in a pile. If he had as much control over it as Auburn fans claim and STILL got it ripped out, the dude is weak as shite.

Nobody said their defense didn't suck. But the defense was bad on both sides. I'm a defense man, so I love great defensive struggles. But it was still a helluva game, with the outcome in doubt until the final seconds. Blocked FGs and freshmen QBs are part of the game. I don't see how that changes anything about the excitement level. If anything, that helps pump it up.
