Jeezus...what an excellent way to die. If he doesn't get shot by the dealer, there's always the local cops and the Secret Service to deal with.

I know some people are up in arms about this, but everyone should realize that this is good for the league. SEC basketball is nearly dead anyway, and he gives a lot of people a reason to watch.

There's a couple of reasons I'm not bothered. First, the OM basketball program is a joke in the first place, so I don't mind us doing what we have to do to sell tickets and be competitive.

And second, as far as being a humanitarian, I think Marshall is genuinely a good person. That might sound off, but if you were to personally interact with him he's as nice and respectful as any person I've ever been around. During the game he always helps opposing team members off the floor. If he was thugging it up and being a dick about everything I would feel differently about him.

The dude just likes to get fricked up, and he's passionate about the game. The only person he's hurting is himself, and hopefully he can clean himself up at some point.

People confuse his hyper competitiveness for being a tPOS on the floor. He just goes balls to the walls but he respects the game on the floor. He just has problems with partying off the floor. His appearance doesn't help his image but I don't think he gives frick and he shouldn't.

I like watching the kid because of those antics as do many others but let's not spin this too hard.

All of this is correct.

I've interacted with Henderson several times - he's humble and a nice guy. He just likes to party.

This on-court antics are very hateable for opposing fans, so I don't blame the hate one bit.

he was trying to screw a dealer out of 2 oz of weed.
Two oz = 56g.
Looks like the Dealer was selling fat bags. Hard to find that today.

I remember watching him last year and hoping that somebody would elbow him in the teeth, but then I noticed that a) if he fouls a guy and knocks him down, he always helps him up (great sportsmanlike habit in amateur sports that is understandably absent in the pros) and b) after Ole Miss was eliminated, he earnestly congratulated LaSalle and relentlessly tweeted in support of all SEC teams in the tournament.

I know that the residents of Mount Pious :dameshek:, to whom I am grateful for gracing us mortals with their presence, will be likely to bite their thumbs at this young man for having the potential to develop a dangerous drug habit, but I like the guy and am pulling him to stay clean (and get his arse kicked by LSU) because otherwise he's the type of player that I wish wasn't so rare.

From Katz article on ESPN.

quote:

What are the conditions of your suspension? Oh, you know, just whatever they ask.[Laughs] It could be midnight and they come knocking on the door saying, "Yo, let's go grab a bite to eat."

Sounds like an AK thing to do.

He has to have some way to get home from the Library without another DUI.

I think it sucks that Ole Miss isn't going to Auburn or Florida.

POS! Nice role model and great image for Ole Miss and SEC. "Fun to watch". Watch him go to prison or the morgue. That should be fun to watch.
Henderson get your shite together.

The SEC requested, and Ole Miss acquiesced, in limiting any suspension to 2 SEC games.

They know who draws a crowd.

What difference does any of this make? I say if the kid uses drugs again then throw him off the team at the end of the year.
