I dont either, I just thought the assumption, you placed in the comment, is typical. Some of yall say, we do it differently than the other schools, or they wouldnt do this at that school, yet many of yall dont actually know what they do at other schools

CIYE...I really can't believe you went to the trouble of doctoring what he actually said. You always claim you don't "troll" UGA, yet here you are adding some BS to an article....pretty classless.

Crowell's charges were completely dropped (not just dropped to a misdemeanor) and we still kicked him off the team.

It's amazing that teams with more arrests want to chime in and point fingers.

I agree. Its AMAZING the drug rehab program other schools have. Again, not sure why they aren't selling their secrets with Betty Ford. I mean, they leave UGA for another school and they never smoke pot again...after repeated drug tests. Its crazy. Dude had 8 grams of pot in his car, yet he will never smoke it again. Its nuts.

Thanks for proving Richt's point for him. He said he disciplines, and he does. Can you dispute what he said?

All we (non UGA fans) are saying is that regardless of the type of discipline policy UGA has, there have been more arrests involving UGA players the past few years than any other school. The discipline policy has nothing to do with the actual number of arrests. Richt can't sweep an arrest under the rug. That's all we're saying.

Completely agree. It happens a lot on the boards. I am just unaware of any school that does come out with mandatory suspensions for such things as DUI's. Doesn't mean there aren't any, I just cannot recollect any instances within the SEC.

Nope. I think its amazing. Good for Auburn. I hope Trey never smokes again and gets his life back on track. Never wish ill of a kid.

But, we will find out how "differently" things happen on August 30th.

Legitimate point. What is your honest opinion of why Georgia seems to have more problems? We all recruit the same players. (Basically) Georgia has a reputation of disciplining severely, so it sin't policy....so, why do you think?

I am curious about some of the Rants honest opinions...not trolling...but honest opinions.

Obviously y'all need a more democratic way, maybe a team vote?

Number of arrests is a dumb criteria, we had one arrested for throwing firecrackers at another as a joke, caught the couch on fire! Stupid as hell yeah, but pretty damn benign.

Actually, I believe we have cited numerous times how we do things differently...

we don't do team votes

we kick players off immediately for evening being charged with a felony (regardless of outcome)

we suspend miminum 1 game for 1st drug offense (both drug tests or citations involving drugs) and multiple games for 2nd offense

we dont take transfers that had discipline problems at other schools

we report our drug test results by way of discipline announcement every time

DUI is carrying a 2 game suspension (we will see if that differs from Alabama soon enough)

Yup. Classic response from someone who is not intelligent enough to carry on with a debate on a message board...

I am thinking that is the number. I might be off...I am trying to find an accurate count. In fairness something like 9 was at one party.

Most athletes I knew did all kinds of shite out of season. I can't imagine that it's much different now. They didn't used to test during the summer, can't imagine that they are now.

And the point a few of us are trying to make is that a good number of arrests in Athens wouldnt be arrests other places. It's a pretty well known fact that ACCPD has ZERO tolerance for drinking related incidents and will book you. Other PD's are more lenient, especially to football players. Not saying all, but some.
