"Well who would we replace him with?" Seems to me this is a fear based reaction, instead demanding more from a HC at UGA.

Well here's the issue with that. We average around 9.7 wins a year. We've come extremely close a handful of times. Many think we can get there. Why would we fire a good coach and take a chance on a new one unless that person is a home run hire? Please look at Tennessee, Florida, Auburn (Chiz), etc.... Plus, we don't really have a reason to fire the guy. What "home run" coach is doing to come to Athens after we've run off the second winningest coach who averaged almost 10 wins a year? That only increases our chances of becoming like Tennessee or Florida. There's no reason to take a chance like that because, and I do believe this, that he can take us to a national championship. He's absolutely a good enough coach. He just hasn't caught the breaks most have to have that special season.

Auburn fans should understand this most after they pooped out that horse shoe that was shoved up their arse.

spurrier has only kept richt out of the national title race in 1 season, and there's just as much blame on kiffin as spurrier. If we lost to SC that year and beat UT we're in teh SECCG and possibly the natty.

ETA: Please notice LSU fans, I said "POSSIBLY", try not to turn this into a 2007 pissing match please. Thank you.

And every time we've had teams that were good enough to get there, we simply haven't gotten those breaks. It's frustrating.

02 vs Florida: Terrance Edwards - at one time was the all time leading receiver in the conference- drops and easy pass that could have and probably would have gone for a game winning touchdown

05 - DJ Shockley gets injured during a win vs Arkansas. We end up playing JoeT3 against Florida and lose that one as well. No telling what could have happened the rest of the way. Auburn still may have beaten us in Athens. You just never know. but that really sucked.

ETA: and I only include this one because despite the Sugar Bowl loss, I do feel like this team could have been really special had we stayed healthy the entire season.

'07 - This is probably the least deserving of the 2 but we were ranked 4th. 2 teams ahead of us lost. We hadn't lost since early October and were rolling. Somehow we move back a spot in the polls. That was fun.

'12 - Fuggin tipped passes. Fuggin Conley catching tipped passes. Fuggin 5 yards.

Every championship team catches big breaks during their magical season. We just haven't seem to have those.
