Thanks for the tip.

Will have to check out when I finally make it back for Mardi Gras.

It's been 12 years since I've been to a parade.

Literally none of those are even remotely funny.

LSU fans have little room to talk. I went to one of the Mardi Gras parades in the Garden District with my brother, sister in law, and little nephews a couple of years ago. Apparently wearing a khaki colored baseball hat with a small Script A hat was enough to enrage the idiots on a couple of floats that threw heavy bags as hard as they could at my head. It would be one thing if I was holding up a sign that had 21-0 or 1/9/12 on it. They risked hitting small children with heavy bags of beads in order to hit someone with a script A hat on.

I guess it beats everything that occupies the minds of Tennesseans: country music, banjos, moonshine, out-houses and wrestling.

It obviously wasn't "small" enough that it couldn't be seen from atop the float.

However. it looks like you learned a valuable lesson that day which is all that matters - "every decision comes with a consequence."

Would I wear a LSU hat on A-Day? Hell no, I wouldn't want a Saban signed infant thrown at me either. It sounds like you got the attention you wanted when you decided to put on the cap in a Louisiana city.

I would have nailed you too tbh

Then you're a complete tool.

You don't know me well then because I'm the antithesis of the guy who goes out of his way to stand out. I' m very low key personality wise and go out of my way not to wear any Bama gear when going to a Bama game at LSU or any other road SEC stadium. I thought a noon Mardi Gras parade with mostly families with small children was a low key laid back environment. It didn't dawn on me until bags of beads were whizzing by my head like an errant fastball that I even had a script A hat on.

You would have no issues from Alabama fans if you showed at Alabama's A-day with an LSU hat on as long as you weren't being belligerent or obnoxious. Outside of the occasional Updyke type fan, Alabama fans are pretty tame.

I'm sorry I lol'd when I read this. I was joking for the most part but a good majority of the guys throwing the beads are wasted & you don't want to give them something to aim for. If you do, they began thinking they're the Mannings

I know many of Alabama fans. Three actually came down for MG and stayed with a few of my friends and I. One left his notebook for Dr. Adam Lankford's class in my car and I have to mail it to him before Monday
