I always did like Lattimore and glad he bounced back from that horrible injury. I think he'll be a damn good and successful coach no matter where he goes.

They should have. Lattimore might still have a career if he could have shared the load and not been an entire offensive system by himself. And Seastrunk may have lived up to something. He had obvious talent that showed once he got to Baylor, he just was never used properly.

I remember during the media day before the BCSNCG in Glendale a reporter asked him something like are you glad to see your friends at AU since they recruited you so hard, and Lache all but flat out said he'd rather be at AU than Oregon. Dude looked like he was about to cry talking about it.
Apparently he had a real big "me" type personality and didn't mean with the other recruits at the Big Cat Weekend and they told the coaches that he didn't fit in with the rest of them and that's why we stopped recruiting him. Otherwise he would have been at Auburn in a heartbeat if we let him.

That's not really fair. His injury wasn't the result of continued wear and tear. It was a fluke accident on the field.

you mean like Mike Dyer did?

Look back at those recruiting classes man. He fit in just fine with the type of player and personality that you guys were recruiting back then. Maybe not what you are recruiting now, but definitely back then.

If it had meant Latti went on to have a successful NFL career, I'm certain you won't find a Gamecock anywhere that would have been against that.

Lattimore chose South Carolina over Auburn at the last minute on the advice of former AU RB great and South Carolina native Stephen Davis who told Latt to stay and be the home grown hero because if something happens to football then you'll still be made because your home state will always love you and always have your back... that turned out to be some spot on advice. Real talk, he made the right choice.

Congrats to him. Nice to see him still involved in the game after his career was ended so prematurely. He was an amazing back.

Some people are bound and determined to be successful in life. Lattimore is a perfect example of someone not letting obstacles get in his way

Yeah, that was one of the most incredible scenes ever. I gained mad respect for the Vols after that.

ETA: CNB...did you know our admin has gone full fricking retard and has declared our game against Kentucky a blackout game? Like that has EVER worked out well for us. Congrats on the W, Cats.

No discipline or accountability instilled
Kicked off two teams in two years
No college degree
Not in NFL

Not good for long term future.

You're right. We should have let him stay in school with no discipline to terrorize the fellow students like Bama does.

Like the time Rolando McClain broke a kids jaw then ran him over with his car for good measure. With no repercussions at all. You can tell that method works by the way he's stayed out of jail and trouble in general since he left Bama.

Just win, baby!

Great for him, wish him all the best. I thought he was the RB coach or at least on the USC staff.
