I'm not assaulting any college or player. Fwiw, USCe is one of my favorite schools outside of Auburn and ML is one of my top ten college football players of all time. He is the main reason I cheer the 49er's this year. I just think if you asked most SEC players if they take Auburn's run or USC's run from 2010-2012, they would take Auburn's because of the SEC Championship and National Championship. 3-9 was horrible but I'll take it if it means getting to the BCS title game twice within 4 years.

Luckily, I had the opportunity to have lunch with Lattimore the day that he announced he was going pro down in Columbia at an event that my company put on. I was more impressed by him as a person than as a player, and his attitude was great. He told us some funny stories about Spurrier at practice, answered tons of questions, and signed some autographs for us. His positive attitude was undeniable, and we are lucky that he chose to play at SC.

Good stuff! His injury really made him realize there more to life than football it appears. A lot of these other players need some type of wake up call too (not getting hurt though).

That's debatable but still ...

Instead, he came to his home state school and left a Prince ... but you wouldn't understand that.

Marcus Lattimore is a very special human being. He is one of those people who, naturally and without effort, make others around him better people.

Wouldn't surprise me to see that kid as Governor Lattie, President Lattie, etc., and be the one that brings the entire country back together. He has the effect on those he touches.

He wouldn't fit in the culture at AU with all your theiving qbs.

As opposed to tBeacon of Propriety that was Steven Garcia

Auburn fans will always wonder what if when it comes to Lattimore despite Dyer being a major contributer on the 2010 NC team. That being said I think we all universally root for him as a result of this small connection

But this is not about that, is it Salty? This has absolutely zero to do with any of that - yet some try to make this about that? What does that say about those that do ...

Great for SCAR, you can't possibly have a better player representing as a face of the program. past 4 years have been Pax Romana for SCAR. multiple 10+ win seasons and Marcus Lattimore rebounding in dramatic fashion.

Idk, I was just responding to an earlier post to me by a USCe fan. Its not like Im highjacking here. I think I've been clear on how I feel about ML in this thread. But I guess thats why you only selected part of my post to quote, right?

How is that debatable? AU won the SEC/BCS championships in 2010 when Lattimore was a freshman. He would have definitely gotten rings.

Yes you are. You and all the "If he had come to Auburn he would have won a NC" Auburn posters.

It's debatable because you're talking hypotheticals ... which brings to mind a potential ripple in the fabric of the space-time continuum which would change things drastically. You have no idea how that might have worked-out. A glitch in the matrix, if you will.

Rigggghhhhhht, I see ... "facts" like, what if Lincoln had not been assassinated. What if a bullfrog had wings. What if your Aunt Nancy had balls. What if Cam and Nick had not left early. Facts like that, amirite?
