You guys just need to check the waiver wires for a new QB...Grossman, Leak, Tebow, and Brantley are all FAs

ETA: Grossman still has a job, sorry.

Ha, every LSU fan feels your pain. (Although I don't feel bad for you in the least.)

We're hopeful this is the year we finally have an offense but it's only been one game so far. Time will tell if we've finally solved this or not.

Damn right. That UF team almost mirrors LSU in 2010.

UF sucked today, but I promise you, the UF defense is much better than TCU's.

Burt Turdles is the worst drive by troll here. His own LSU fans despise him. Ignore that twit.

I'd definitely take Petrino right now. Just have a clause of no motorcycles and coeds.

7-5.

Losses to LSU, UGA, South Carolina, FSU.

Defense can't hide your weaknesses forever.

WTF? You were in the position to beat Georgia last year and defeated Florida State with a below average offense. Your schedule doesn't get tough until October 12th when you head to LSU. Florida has a month to get their crap together.

Driskel had an entire offseason to get his shite together.

Didn't show any improvement today.

7-5 looks really possible. 9-3 at best.

Your receivers aren't the problem. It's Driskel. All a receiver can do is catch the ball, and an average (SEC) receiver can do that, but Driskel puts the ball in places that even an all-american can't make a play.

Y'all got anybody waiting in the wings?

No one in the wings besides 2014 commit grier who is more of a pro style qb. We've recruited every position but guard and Qb well somehow. Driskel can't be completely to blame. That's not fair. He was recruited by Meyer for the spread, out of shotgun he is actually very efficient. It's his inability to read the field from the pro set that will keep him from ever being a good qb here, and our coaches for being stubborn and not molding the gameplan to his strengths. Zone read pease...use it more It's by far the hardest thing to stop in our offensive package. It almost always works, yet we never run it in key situations. Makes no Freaking sense.

Well, Muschamp is a Saban protege. He didn't learn shite from Mack. He wants to run the pro-style, play action offense.

What's the high school landscape like if Florida? Are all teams running a form of the spread? That might be the issue.

You can only work with what you are given. Muschamp being Saban light, he might have some difficulty turning loose of the reins.

Hell, it took Saban years to do it. He gave control to McElwain and Nuss, but I can't recall anyone before that. Still, Saban provides the guidelines (Alabama's playbook doesn't change). The OC just gets to implement the gameplan, call the plays and tweak things a bit.

ETA: If your Qb is little better than a second runner, you might as well run the wing-T. Driskel is a threat for an interception every time he puts the ball in the air.

UF hasn't had a serious threat at WR since Percy Harvin

This. But even Harvin was nowhere near as good as those cats Spurrier used to have at WR for Florida.

Very few wide receivers can do it alone. I would say there are only three or four per year -- at best.

Harvin, Julio, AJ, Dez, Calvin, etc...could catch a dead duck in triple coverage and rip off a 40 yard gain.

Most can't do that. Every wide receiver can run a damn route. Every wide receiver can beat a safety deep. It's up to the QB to get them the ball.

There's someone open every damn play...even if it's the RB coming out of the back field.

ETA: You can't tell me Arkansas State or Washington State's WR are more talented that Floridas with a straight face.
