The only fail is you and AU bros argument that Saban can't stop Gus' offense when we ran his arse off Pat Dye Field already.

Oh so you look like an idiot, and now change directions.

Of course Gus will dominate the head to head with Saban as the HC at AU.

You're basing an awful lot off of a single game.

You're assuming I am just basing it on one factor. Don't do that.

Based on what? The most recent Iron Bowl? or should we consider 2011 Iron Bowl? Past performance? Who do think has been more succesful? Who has recruited better?

What does Head Coach (HC) refer to son? It is quite simple to understand really. It will refer to all the games they play against each other until Gus makes Saban quit.

When hasn't Saban recruited better.

Comparing apples to apples that would be first year as Head coaches. That would be Gus of course.

What makes you think that Gus is a better coach and will be more succesful than Saban?, a guy who has four titles under his belt and is the best recruiter in the biz.

No flames...I just want to know why?

The question isn't who is the better coach and who will be more successful over their entire career - it's only over the next few seasons that matters.

It's not that big of a stretch to say that Gustav, who is younger, hungrier and more innovative, will win more IBs in the near term than Saban, who is already older than 90% of current D1 HCs and unquestionably in the final years of his brilliant career.

Heck, all Malzahn has to do is go .500 against Bama until Saban retires and the OP will be correct.

Auburn's recruiting has been in the middle top 10 or near the top 10 for several years now so they have talent. It's simply my opinion that Malzahn will have the better win/loss versus Saban while they go head to head the next few years. Our defense will only improve with the amount of talent we have brought in, and our offense isn't going to get worse.

I feel Auburn will be favored this year in the IB and if they win that would make Gus 2-0. Saban probably has 3-5 years left and if he goes longer all the better. I think it will be a toss up each year after this season.

All valid points. You're confident in your coach and the direction of the program and that's cool. We will certainly see and no doubt next year's IB will be epic.
