defense on ESPNU. Why is Cam the QB for all that film work. Noticed same thing when he was breaking down Bama. Gus, show us how to attack them with your other QB's .

But he's going to look like a genius attacking the Sun Belt defenses. His Auburn offense got totally destroyed by LSU and Bama this year.

You wanna break out game film of 2009? It was just as bad.

Cam Newton = awesome
Gus Malzahn without Cammy Cam = harry high school offense

He had AJ Greene at LT. It is like playing 10 on 11. Plus he had Chad Slade and Jon Sullen at pulling guards. Those guys are Sun Belt talent at best.

That's right up his alley, Being the sun belt is compatible to his type of offense "High School"! Took their 180k one man team away from them and look what happened this year!

How is Malzahn showing anything in this game? He isn't coaching.

Let's hope Bama gets their money's worth with their $200,000 man TJY.

Auburn's offense was better than LSU's and Bama's in two of the three seasons Malzahn was there.

Gus did not know how to use Cam until the second half of the season. Cam showed the world he could be a very good passer, but GM did not use him in that role as much as he should have. In 09 and 11 Gus was limited by the QB play, if he has a QB that can run his offense is very good.

And he scored a grand total of 5 TDs against LSU in those three seasons, with 2 of them being in garbage time at the end of blowouts. Color me unimpressed.

Do you think that might be because LSU's defense was better than Auburn's?

The stats back it up overwhelmingly. AU's '09, and '10 offenses were better than LSU's and Alabama's.

All of the talk of Malzhan's success being entirely dependent on Newton in unwarranted.
