And he was the next JuCo bust?
Who ever said this? He was coming off the JUCO title and it cost $180k for him to play so I'd say he was coveted by any team that ran the spread

So he was worthless until Malzahn got ahold of him ?
I didn't say that, but to say that his JuCo coach developed him is fricking retarded. We all know Dan Mullen can't develop a QB worth shite (in terms of passing). Look at Tebow in the PROS. Brantley is God awful. Chris Relf? Lawlzers. Alex Smith, who played under Meyer, was also a bust in the NFL after being selected #1. I'm not saying Gus completely developed him into the player he is now, but he had more of a hand in it than anyone else. Mother fricking FACT.

Nah, he was dead serious. "Gus offense isn't good without Cam" is a phrase i see/hear darn near everyday

Not really. We rarely ran the read this year unless Frazier was in the game. And Dyer still had over 1000 yards. What killed the offense this year was the lack of blocking and shitastic QB play
This is what really bothers me about Gus. Does he not realize that when he puts Frazier in that everyone in the stadium knows he's going to run it? Flip flopping QB's is a terrible idea

Malzahn did well with him but he only had roughly 6 months with the guy.
Cam was in Auburn from January 2010 until January 2011. That's almost a full year. You can develop a player as the season goes on.

I kind of feel like Malzahn should get while the gettin's good.

I just think Gus is overhyped. Being from NWA I've seen this guy from the his high school coaching days and while it's impressive that he's gone to this point so fast, I don't think he's ready to be a head football coach.
The whole wife/ronnie floyd connecition is an entirely different story that is awful in its own right

Frazier for some reason became our Wildcat QB, and we only used him and Dyer in that role. After Arkansas, they reigned Frazier in on letting him throw.
I think Bray took maybe 1 wildcat snap all season.

I like Malzhan as a coach but I do think he is very similar to Meyer as far as perception of his offense. Does it work in the SEC without a great qb? Before the Chris Todd stats come out, take into account that was his 1st year with his offense in the SEC(Arkansas' was a combo of Nutt/Malzhan) and the better defenses held them in check. DC's have a read on his tendancies and without a superman qb like Newton the offense can't compensate. Meyer's was the same after Tebow.

Offensive Line plays a big part in any offense that was a huge issue this year. So time will tell.

I'll give you this. He's also getting paid fat money to be an OC. I think he knows he needs another year or two before making the leap.
