Hoping you get better Coach Moore.
I think it's a blockage of the main artery leading to or from the lungs - a blood clot of sorts.

Moore can't even consider dying until he contributes all he has to offer to a comprehensive biography. I really, really want to hear the stories he has to tell.

I'd give him two stars. That new Arena is damn nice.

Don't take it personal. I clearly remember some Bama fans on here (and not just Bama fans either) making dementia jokes about Pat Summitt when she stepped down. It's always funny until it happens to someone associated with your own program.

There are some youtubes of former players/coaches sitting around telling Bear stories. Mal's story about Bear telling him to run the reverse is hilarious.

The important thing is that Pat doesn't remember, so no harm no foul.

I didn't say he was right. Unfortunately, lots of twenty-something year old Vol fans see and talk about what he writes.

When you have blood clots form in your lower extremities and they break free from their location and go up the body they can land one of two places, in the head for a stroke or in the lungs for a pulmonary embolism. It's basically a blood clot that blocks the pulmonary artery from freely oxygenating the blood in the lungs. It can be fatal for anybody but especially so for people that are elderly.

They can put a screen in to prevent the clot from going to the heart, but it can still damage other organs, but can prevent death. It would still mean that it is best that he have a less stressful job and responsibilities.

The filter's a preventative measure. It goes in the inferior vena cava to keep a clot from passing into the heart from somewhere else in the body. They usually put it in people that are at serious risk for PEs and can't take blood thinners.

If he's got a PE, something has already passed through the heart and lodged somewhere in the pulmonary artery so there are two issues - how to get rid of the current blockage and how to keep it from happening again.

Just to be clear, a PE isn't necessarily a blood clot. It usually is and given Mal's age it would almost certainly the case for him, but they can come from air bubbles (happens to divers) or anything else (fat, for example) that finds it's way into the bloodstream.
