DuBose took over for a national championship winning coach, and left Alabama with a 3-8 record and NCAA sanctions. He single handedly destroyed the greatest football program in history for years and years to come.

Got anybody that can top that?

Brad Scott gave us a 21 game losing streak.

No one can bottom that.

True story:
I shot pool with Curley Hallman at the downtown pub in t-town when I was in college (late 90's/ early 2000's). He was first cousins of a friend of mine so we talked about that and my hometown for a while.

When I asked him what happened at LSU he pointed at his beer and then pointed at a college girl nearby and laughed.

He beat my arse in pool too.

Let's see. The beginning of the 21 game losing streak where we only averaged scoring 7ppg (7?!?!?!) with what was rated as one of the top defenses in the country and couldn't win one damn game in the meantime?

I present to you Brad Scott. 1-10 in 1998, 0-11 in 99. that disaster was so bad the hall of fame Lou holtz couldn't dig out of it.

Sly Croom and his "Gulf Coast" offense. Take a timeout coming out of a change of possession. After the timeout still get a delay of game, 1st and 15. Run up the middle for a gain of two, 2nd and 13. Get another delay, 2nd and 18. Another run play for a yard, 3rd and 17. Run a screen pass that results in a sack, turnover, or loss of 3. Rinse and repeat. I have seen some bad football, but that was some of the worst crap I've ever seen.

Winning a Natty or an SEC Championship immediately eliminates a coach from this competition, thus eliminating Chizik and Dubose.

Please stop lamenting how bad DuBose was. He at least could have winning seasons

Dubose could have winning seasons when he had Shaun Alexander running behind Chris Samuels.

I think you guys need to look in the mirror at yourselves when it comes to DuBose. He did not start the payoffs to players, etc. That was something that had been going on for years(not just Alabama)...he just happened to be at the helm when it all exploded

Fair statement.

I don't know if it is possible to be worse than him. I guess we can partially thank Ole Miss for him getting fired after that arse whipping they gave us and Croom standing on the sideline with a bewildered look on his face

Did Dubose ever hold a team to less than 120 yards of offense and still lose 42-14?

Damn, how is that even possible. How many defensive TD's did the winning team have?

It wasn't the only time either. We held FSU to 95 yards in 2011 and still lost 21-7.
