There would be riots if they officially changed the name from Tiger Stadium

I'm sure bama gets just as much money from sponsors, do you see their stadium looking like the ads section of the newspaper?

of course not

You say that but a few colleges have actually done it which is why I asked. I think it would be awful if an SEC team did so - none of us need a Florida Private Prison System to pay for our stadium renovations or any other corporation for that matter. Ads are one thing but name changes are another.

Going to happen eventually, though I'm guessing we'll all have Jordan Hare Stadium at YellaWood park or some shite like that.

Most of us are state funded universities - we can stop them politically if we keep the attitude of hell no. Changes like that are enough to get politicians involved because they know damn well they'd get voted out of office if nothing was done - governors appoint BOT and are technically in charge of university systems, politicians allocate funding.

They will try to grab every dollar they can, no doubt about it, and a few more schools may cave but hopefully most SEC schools say frick NO.

I honestly don't care if we retain the names to some extent, like I implied. I think most of us will have baseball and basketball facility name sponsors within a decade. Football is going to come too, I'm just not sure we're going to have Ole Miss @ Arky at Wal-Mart Field.

For us, Neyland can not be changed. It simply can't. He designed and built that stadium literally as well as on the field. That would be something that truly would cause an enormous issue.

Capitalism is good. Coca Cola is the GOAT soft drink. At least it isn't pepsi or something. I would rather have no ads, but as far as ads go, it could be a lot worse.
