I agree, but I think a tough defense can slow him down enough after that first hit that you are going to need to open up the offense a bit more.

Not sure what defenses I would qualify as "tough enough" though

Why? Are they better than expected?

We haven't played a defense with a pulse yet either.

Syracuses defense was highly inflated - look at the BS teams they played before y'all

I'm talking about your defense. If Syracuse and state have defenses without a pulse, then the only teams we play that you would consider alive on defense are Bama and Florida.

Cuse is higher ranked than Aggy even after Fournette ran all over them.

We are just gonna win bud. It doesn't matter who we play. And Mississippi state has a pretty good defence btw. If LSU was just a 1 man team I think we would be very easy to beat and we would definately have been beaten by now. Maybe twice. So no were not just a 1 man team like everybody thinks we are. Who gives fournette those gaping holes to run through? Our stud offensive line. Gotta have defence to win games. Fournette doesn't play on defence and we have been plenty good enough on that side of the ball to win. No LSU doesn't pass at all but that doesn't mean harris automatically sucks. Somebody needs to act like they want to stop fournette before we need to pass a lot.

When I was watching the Syracuse game your QB was like 4 of 20 and those completed passes were easy, safe ones.

Well, for starters, he only threw 16 passes. He completed 50% with a dropped bomb and three other drops. He also completed a 51-yard bomb and threw a perfect fade for a TD in the 4th up one score with Fournette out on both plays.

LSU isn't passing much, but Harris is a really good runner and he has a big arm. His decision making has been good too (no interceptions or penalties because of him yet). LSU's offense is capable of much more than they were last year. All they really need to do is run right now, but if they have to pass, they can with Harris. Last year, we really couldn't.

We will have to agree to disagree until we get into the meat of our schedule. When Auburn and Syracuse have to gang tackle him with 5, 6, and 7 guys, I think Ole Miss and Bama wil take 3 or 4. Time will tell, and one thing I think we can agree on, he is damn fun to watch

LF is your horse and you have to ride him, while I haven't seen much of y'all this year, I have seen enough to know that if Les let's Harris throw a little more he can be very good, he was fairly accurate and had a nice touch on what I've seen. If he can put it all together at game speed y'all will be really dangerous. I think by the later part of the season y'all will be throwing a bit more not because you have to but because you can. Good luck to y'all against everyone but A&M

Thanks and you're pretty accurate. Harris has looked as good as he's been asked to be.

I didn't see A&M, but plan on watching the Arkansas game.

We have some issues, some can be fixed this season and some can't, I stand by my 9-3 if the ball falls right and 7-5 if it doesn't prediction. Y'all have the potential to win 10+ but I don't know if y'all will, footballs bounce funny sometimes.

If we can get by State, and don't do like last year with Bama I like our chances to finish well. Ole Miss is gonna be a problem but we match up fairly well so who knows. I'm not ready to say we beat y'all but we can it comes down to how much we can improve on the 2nd level of the defense, because I think our interior d line can slow LF but it's the second level is gonna have to stop him.

Florida will make you throw. Ole Miss will make you throw. Bama will make you throw. Arky will make you throw. LSU has to establish a passing game. Right now, they lead only 4 wishbone teams in passing in the FBS.

Those will be the ones where LSU will need to throw it in spots. I thought UF would force us to throw a lot last year too, but then Fournette ran for 140 yards and 2 TDs. The difference is that last year I don't think we had a choice. This year, if we need to, I think we'll be able to pass with Harris. He has all of the skills. They just need to get a little more work in before those games.

Why are you so worried with LSU and its passing game?? You scared of the fury that is hidden within?
