Sooo, Saban has beat them into submission?!

Isn't it obvious?

The LSU AD never even bothered to hire a reputable firm to do a coach search. He had over two months and the best he could do was tender non-serious offers to two HCs ( neither of whom really wanted any part of trying to coach up LSU enough to beat Saban ) THEN the LSU AD finishes with a flourish by promoting the Defensive Line coach to HC.

That's not a serious effort to find a championship caliber proven head coach. That's what we in the military call a
FEINT.

Alleva's head fake was enough to convince some of the LSU faithful that a serious effort was made, but, what's evident IMHO is that he quit and is waiting on Saban to retire.

I still say that Alleva's move was not unreasonable. He chose to conserve his resources rather than spending it all in an effort that was doomed to fail anyway -- LSU will not be better than Alabama while Saban is at Bama.

What you are saying is: Saban made their arse quit?

Yes. That's one way to put it.
