Becasue LSU will have the best team in the SEC next year, that's why? Enough said.

Neck and neck with a freshman? Damn he must be good

Considering Murray is one of the better quarterbacks in the league certainly represents that Mett is a talented player.

Brent Schaeffer crushed it at JUCO

So did Cam Newton.

He's definitely shown that so far, threw some beautiful passes in warmups this year

It may have only been Northwestern St. but he went 8-11 for 92 yards and a td in that game and looked pretty damn good. Same in the spring game.

It doesn't take much to understand that he is a talented player on a team returning the majority of the offense.

AU will get beatdown again.

Gunnar =/= Gunner

In the event you were going for the word "gonna", I'll give it 1.5 out of a possible 10. Way to go, Rantard.

Wow. Rantards got out again...

Jimmy Clausen was the #1 rated player, in the country, by rivals in 2007.

Dude went 16-21 at ND with that joke of a schedule they play. Includes 1-2 record against Navy.

I understand being excited about a great pickup but I think some LSU fans are being hypocrites. Anytime Bama fans or anyone else makes a thread about a great pickup, LSU fans are the first to say "SLOW DOWN, THE KID IS STILL IN HS AND HASN'T PROVEN ANYTHING YET". Are we to believe that Gunner and Mett, 2 guys that have never taken a college snap, are going to dominate the SEC?

Let's just say y'all got a great pickup and those two have the potential to do great things at LSU but I can't see them dominating anyone yet.

Come on man, Mett hasn't done anything in the SEC yet and Kiel will more than likely be red-shirted next year. Both have promising futures but do you forget the hype around JL coming out of High School? Fact is that LSU won the SEC this year with a power running game for the most part, and an excellent defense. With the players coming back they have the potential to do the same thing in 2012. Oh and if your OP was a troll attempt then good job

I wasn't trying to prove anything other than the fact that a poster wants to find a 2007 Jimmy Clausen example as telling is about as fricking stupid as using Matt Barkley in 09 as an example.

Seems this went over your head. Not surprised.
