You could argue that LSU is not as talented as they think they are. That kind of falls apart though when you look at how many kids they put in the league. Brandon Harris is one reason for the loss but there is something bigger going on. Outside of 2 or 3 players the kids don't play with enough confidence. It's like they know that their plan is going to fail. I don't think they trust their coaches. Do any of you Louisiana guys attend practice? What is the atmosphere like? Just curious.

Last year on the Tiger Rant, once Les was in some trouble, one LSU fan commented that he attended some practices with some experienced and successful La. high school coaches. The comment was that these experienced coaches that would know their stuff were unfavorably impressed with the organization and pace of the LSU football practices.

These high school coaches observed the LSU practices and concluded that their own high school teams actually have faster paced and more organized practices than Miles. They were surprised that Miles got quite a bit less done in the time alloted for practice than was accomplished at high school football practice in the same alloted time.

This high school coach observation happened who knows how long ago, but the story was told last year. It's obvious to me that the powers that be have put up with stuff like this from Miles for years. The LSU powers that be have never had a problem with this. With regard to what will happen in the future, who knows? I doubt that Miles's coaching seat is as hot as most LSU fans think it is right now. Miles has never been held to very high standards with regard to fielding a well-disciplined and well-coached football team. If he were to be held to these standards now, Miles would probably think it unfair.

Players LOVE playing for Coach Miles because Miles is not a demanding task-master that works them to death at practice. That's why in all Miles's years at LSU no former player of his has ever complained about him being an unreasonable task-master or jerk. Some former players have said that they question his integrity in what he says, but, not that he's a jerk because he is too demanding.

Wow. If that's true it kind of answers my question.

No excuses. Les is no longer a good coach.

I've been saying it for over a month now. LSU is SOFT. Their team is weak sauce. Every damn year we hear how talented LSU is, and every damn year they fold up when they play any team that can match their physicality.

Be gentle with hawgfaninc, rant nation, he's just trying to deflect attention from Arkansas's one point squeaker against CUSA power LouisianaTech.

How many times and how many ways do people have to say this for it to sink in for a lot of you guys?

Miles is NOT a very good coach. He WAS a pretty good coach 5-10 years ago.

The game has passed him by. He has lost a significant step mentally.

LSU will not be good again until Les Miles is no longer the LSU coach.

Miles IS THE excuse on why LSU is soft, why LSU is not good, why Arkansas, Ole Miss, and everyone else beats LSU.

LSU is not a good football team. Case closed.

What he accomplished you cannot take away, but what he is now is not what he once was. As of September 2016 he is not currently a good coach

Well you have to remember Arkansas and Wisconsin are built to stop power running teams. Its what Bert hangs his hat on defense wise. LSU is a power running team.

If you want to beat Arkansas you need to spread the field and throw the ball around.
