LSU’s offense is ranked 72nd in the red zone, with 27 scores on 34 possessions (79 percent), and just 16 touchdowns (47 percent). Last season it finished fourth, with 57 scores on 61 possessions (93) and 44 scores (72.1).

While its defense has only seen 17 possessions inside the 20, it ranks 115th out of 119 teams with 16 scores allowed (94 percent) and 13 touchdowns (76.5 percent).

If that's true...

I assumed it would be much tougher to score a TD on them given the way they manned up last year when teams made it to the red zone.

How many touchdowns have you scored in your last two games against us? That should help you.

so that means bama will score 157% of the time they enter the redzone.

At least. Did you see the other Bama thread deconstructing LSU's Tiger Stadium win streak? I'm actually thinking Bama by 50 or so.

Boy, I'm glad it's not 100%.

We'd be in big trouble.

A bit misleading considering the offense gives it up where the other team is in or near its red zone, and late 4th quarter opponent TDs.

But yeah, Alabama will win by at least 40.

That's if they don't call the dogs off, but they will put in the 3rd stringers near the end of the 4th quarter. I still say Alabama by 40, maybe a little more.

So the one time a team didn't score was when LSU led 17-12 vs Tx A&M and the Aggies ran the kickoff back to the LSU 17 yard line? Good time for the Tigers to shut somebody out.

Then I guess the Tigers should not let the Tide get into the red zone.

But I heard LSU welcomes the other team to score anytime the other team even touches their red zone?
