I didn't think Wisky QB was that bad. WR didn't separate.

You scored 14 points and had under 250 yards of offense.

The other difference being Auburn went to the BCS championship and LSU will be going to the Gator.

lsu discovered who they were in the 4th quarter just like auburn did in the 4th quarter in Death Valley last year.

LSU is going to lose some games...its offense was not any better and if Wisconsin would have had a qb who could throw the ball and a wr who could catch..LSU loses last night by at least 20 points...honestly. Miss St, Ole Miss, UF, AU, Bama are possible/probable Ls. Just so you know.

I can agree with this high level analysis but on closer inspection the takeaways from this game are that this LSU squad formed some early chemistry and character. They simply misfired for a couple of quarters like they usually do in season openers. The key here is that Chief and Cam made key adjustments up to the end and turned the game around and believe it or not The Hat made a key call with the fake punt. He has been due for one...

I might add that Jeff Grimes cleaned up the OL issues at halftime as well with key adjustments to scheme. This is something that was not present in the last several years at LSU.

Melvin Gordon only got 3 carries in the second half; that's boneheaded
they have other backs who got the ball between the tackles. it failed.

Running the ball was Wisconsin's strength
not in the 2nd half

they abandoned it
because it was failing miserably

Wisconsin deserved to win.
get out of here with that crap. what does that even mean? lsu made less mistakes and won. that's how football works. nobody "deserves" to win

An objective look at that game will show that LSU didn't "improve dramatically" in the span of 1 quarter
your definition of "objective" needs serious revision. the receivers are incredible. Jennings made plays through the air and with his feet. the oline started seriously kicking butt. the backs are fine when they have a gap to run through. the defense clamped down. it was total reversal from the 1st half

Wisconsin's poor playcalling and injuries allowed LSU to complete a comeback.
this has been going on for 9 years now. at some point, it's just not true.

Seem to remember a team from 2011 being pretty good with no real passing threat. I think they beat every single team on their schedule actually.

people have to realize that since the decline was supposed to start several years ago, there's nothing left to do except make excuses for lsu's wins. lsu never wins. the other team just lost and lsu was present on the field at the time.

i'm seriously worried about the decline. is it hurt? is it lying in a ditch somewhere? SOMEONE CALL THE COPS

Kinda amusing to hear a Florida fan be critical of anyones offense. Last year the Gators had the worst offense I have ever witnessed in college football. Muschamp will make someone a helluva D coordinator next year. Lol

Wisconsin did not have SEC depth on the D-line, and the front 7 was new,

LSU didn't have SEC depth that night either. We only played 3 different DTs because Bain was suspended, waiting on SEC to clear Valentine, etc.

Gordon got 4 carries in the 2nd half I believe. He had 8 carries Q1, 4 carries Q2, 2 carries Q3, and 2 carries Q4. Wisconsin only ran 25 plays in the entire 2nd half.. because they had zero success on offense.
