LSU Won 2007 NC with Saban's Players?When did Miles become an idiot

I'm trying to figure out whether Miles was always a coaching idiot. If not, when did he become an idiot?
Did LSU win the 2007 NC with Saban's players? OR does Coach Les Miles have the football coaching acumen to win a Natty with his own players and his own system?
I know that this issue was raised some time ago. However, now that LSU fans are insulting Miles's intelligence and calling for his immediate termination, I wonder whether this issue can be re-examined.
EITHER Miles won the Natty with Saban's players OR Miles coached a team to a Natty.
Which is it?

I've never seen a fan go to such lengths to defend the defeated opponent. I can't tell if you have a desperate need to legitimize the win, or the nicest guy who's ever posted on a message board.

That was the team that lost multiple games to sucky teams but they ended up having to just give Louisiana State the national championship because of some other stuff that happened.

Just trying to figure out if Miles was ever a good coach OR has been as incompetent as LSU fans say he is today.
I figure if he won a Natty in 2007, maybe he was never an idiot OR became an idiot AFTER 2007.
