Is your football team on the field for the national anthem?

What does that have to do with anything? The question was Mulkey being dishonest about their pregame routine.

She wasn't dishonest, OP just struggles with reading and comprehension.

Here's her quote:

quote:

“Honestly I don’t even know when the anthem was played,” she explained. “We kind of have a routine where we are on the floor then they come off at the 12-minute mark. I don’t know. We come in and we do our pre-game stuff. I’m sorry. Listen, that’s nothing intentionally done.”

Yep, this is just SECR trying to make a nonstory a story because they think it makes LSU look bad.

Should be a technical for any team not out standing for the anthem.

They'd have to give everyone a technical.

Are you really that naive? You think LSU doesn't have the ability to coordinate with ESPN or NCAA staff to get the exact time of the national anthem? Mulkey's answer was a cop out.

Are YOU that naive?

Kim Mulkey doesn't make all those decisions herself.

Her responsibility is to keep her team focused, and keeping the same routine is good for that.

frick the anthem.

You're in cult if you think Kim doesn't have a staff around her that could coordinate the team coming onto the court for the national anthem.

She was honest.

They're just working their pregame routine, it isn't an intentional "protest" of the anthem.

Just like many college football teams, just like many men's and women's college basketball teams.

No one really "coordinates" around the anthem.

Who ever is in charge of the tournament should make a rule. Your team will be on the floor at attention for the National Anthem. If not your team will be sent home and you lose by default.
Don’t like the rule stay at the house.

College football teams are never on the field for the anthem either. Why does this need to be a rule?

Wrong. She added the part about being unaware of when the national anthem starts. That's a cop out to act like you "didn't know" when we all know how easy it would be to fix the problem.

So it's phony to the people in the military or family members that lost a loved one serving this country?

I don’t think, society-wide, this kind of thing is necessarily *phony*.

But on the Rant, it sure as hell is. Look at all the law and order types who’ll do a 180 pivot as soon as a player on their team runs afoul of Johnny Law.

Fake AF and the ONLY relevant fact is you are rooting for the guy on Saturdays in the fall.

You seem to be trying to blame Mulkey for your own lack of reading and comprehension skills.

Perhaps for this game but they aren't usually on the court for the national anthem.

They were in the locker room when it was sung at last year's national championship game.

As someone whose family tree is 1/3 bare due to unprovoked wars of American aggression, yes it’s phony. They’ve taken enough.
