I definitely think honoring the national anthem is the right thing to do, and I will always participate myself. But having your first amendment right is far more important standing for a song. And if you're for abolishing citizen's rights, then you're less of an American than anyone that doesn't stand for the national anthem. - I'll probably get a lot of down votes for this.

Exactly. A coach’s job is to win. Winning at literally anything involves staying motivated and removing distractions. Coaches should be fired for forcing their teams to participate in political charades before important games, especially when their team consists of 18-23 year olds.

Football teams are never on the field during the anthem. They warm up then go to the dressing room usually well before it is played.

She did, she also explained that they aren't intentionally missing the anthem, it's just part of their pregame routine to go back to the locker room.
