The amount of times the UF defenders were grabbing his helmet/facemask was crazy.

I seem to remember a lot of the plays never actually ended in a tackle, it was more that he was driven backwards after whistled dead. None seemed too egregious.

The bullshite PI no call before the fake field goal was worse, in my opinion. The corner grabbed, held, and then held the arm as the ball arrived, all right in front of the ref.

The hit on Brandon Harris should have been flagged, was, then it was picked up. LSU fans are justifiably upset because three weeks ago, LSU was flagged for a hit out of bounds when a linebacker hit Syracuse's quarterback IN BOUNDS.

It was a great game. I was pleasantly surprised that we were in the game for so long. Bottom line is that LSU is better than UF this year and if Boom had been on the sidelines this would have been an absolute crushing of UF.
Looking forward to more future battles with Coach Mac at the helm. It'll be fun to see what kind of damage he can do when he has some of his own recruiting classes under his belt.

What does this have to do with winning? Les Miles has a point and is being a good head coach by making sure that his players are appropriately protected from unnecessary aggression. Once the whistle is blown the defenders are supposed to reasonably let off.
I have noticed here on the Rant, that probably over 1/2 of the posts about a team, player, coach or fans is started by some fan of another team.
Oh wait, that may be why it is called the "Rant". I am a little slow.

I don't mind it if the refs err on the side of letting players play, but some of the shite Florida did was ridiculous. Refs needed to clamp down on the shite they were pulling for future SEC play.

He is a Florida fan. He is used to a circle of trust where choking members of the coaching staff and threatening to kill them is not egregious enough to warrant any discipline.

I think to suggest Les is being a wuss in the OP is ridiculous. This is to help us get some just calls in future games, not to "call out" Florida. Now it's on record. When we play Bama in two weeks, he can have a little "talk" with the refs in Tuscaloosa because we all know we're going to get a fair shake there.
He should be like Rodney Dangerfield before the big match at the end of Caddyshack, "Keep it fair" and hand him a couple $100 bills.

When a play is blown dead because forward progress was stopped? That is a pretty common occurrence, it takes a while for a bunch of players on the field to hear a whistle. It would have been one thing if they finished the tackle, but they didn't.

towards the end of the third quarter, it was really getting out of hand and the refs just watch gang tackles happen pushing fournette back 10 yards, seconds AFTER the whistle.

Maybe you corndogs should be quiet so players can hear the whistle. They mentioned that about 100 times during the broadcast.
