Kentucky is the only SEC program that could put together a squad that could hang with the LSU unit.

There are obviously a few others as well...UCLA, Duke, North Carolina, and Indiana to name a few.

Noah would hold his own with Shaq. He is one of, if not, the best defensive center in the NBA.

Al Horford is also an extremely good PF and would have most likely made the All-star game if he didn't get hurt this year.

The rest of the lineup is where it gets iffy. Brewer is a solid role player in the NBA, but the other have never had an NBA career.

LSU lineup - Guards are too small. Plus - Hack a Shaq in the second half and you lose by 20 to any team. Sorry.

Moochie Norris
Wesley Person
Chuck Person
Chris Porter
Charles Barkley

Now that is small ball at its best.

Pistol Pete was 6'5"
Chris Jackson was indeed short, but with his outside touch, who cares?

G. Chris Jackson (freak of nature shooting God)
F. Bob Petit (one of three on this list in NBA All time top 50)
F. Rudy Macklin (last picked on the team-he gets the nod over many other greats)
C. Shaquille O'neal (Shaq Daddy, The Big Aristotle in the house)

Sooooooo many championships between those guys

Nice team. The LSU team sweeps them 4-0 in a best of 7.

That's awesome. I'm assuming there was no bias in this statement.

Take this shite back to the Tiger Rant.

Pistol Pete scored when everybody in the house KNEW he was gonna shoot. They knew it was comin' and they still couldn't stop it - believe that's the definition of greatness. Plus, no one will ever handle a basketball like PM.

Not saying they'd win, but they'd have the best chance.

I was just throwing that team out there because it was such a perfect college team.

If we're talking about who's had the best NBA career, our lineup would be:

PG Jason Williams
SG Brad Beal
SF Chandler Parsons
PF Al Horford
C Joakim Noah

reserves: Corey Brewer, David Lee, Mike Miller, Matt Bonner

You could plug in any 3 decent players along with Maravich and Shaq and beat(not necessarily dominate) any All-time team from another SEC team

Pistol Pete is the most overrated player ever.

Well you're ignorant as frick

quote:

He is still the all-time leading NCAA Division I scorer with 3,667 points scored and an average of 44.2 points per game. All of his accomplishments were achieved before the three-point line was introduced to NCAA basketball and despite being unable to play varsity as a freshman under then-NCAA rules.
