once proud program...give LSU a victory lap

which program has missed the NCAA tournament 3 of the last 9 seasons and which program has a streak of 15 straight NCAA tournaments?

OP is poor, especially for LSU baseball fans. 2 long time (USC 1970s+ LSU 1980s+) baseball schools meet up again this weekend.

nothing but respect for LSU baseball. Tigers have great chance at winning Omaha and the SEC along the way. Carolina has played below expectations/standards & talent so far this season. 3 games can change it all.

leaving Charleston for Carolina Stadium here shortly. hope to see some Tiger fans around the ballpark. Go Cocks!

I think LSU breaks out the brooms and sends South Carolina

Were the brooms in the carry-on or did they get lost?

Lovin' it. Please tell us more.

USC is playing for their tournament lives and it shows. Congrats, Gamecocks!

Not a prediction, but I need USCe to go 3-0, 2-0(rainout), or 1-2.

Keep it going, cocks.

If we end up with a share of the SEC title after the way our pitchers have shat the bed the last few weeks, I'll be shocked.

This whole season has felt like we've been playing with house money with our top 2 pitchers out. Still a game down behind Vandy & LSU with only 2 games left.

Question:

Suppose Vandy finished 20-10 and A&M and LSU finish 20-9.

Or suppose Vandy is 21-9 and A&M or LSU is 20-9. When deciding regular season champs, I suppose they have to base it on winning percentage. No?

I would imagine. 20-9 > 20-10. When they chose to not make up the missed games they had to have known it could effect the final standings, so I imagine you have to take the standings as they are.

Winning % decides the champ. It can be shared. Rainouts make everything kind of nuts.

The top 2 division winners get 1 and 2 seed in the tourney. 3-12 go by win %.
