Don't do it at home. Also super gay, For a fan base that doesn't want a rival, you sure did a good job of sucking us into your surrogate Texas Thanksgiving day bullshite.

A&M gets what A&M wants.

True, for the LSU home games we compromised on a Friday game. A&M didn't melt only getting a partial victory on that one!
Lead by example.

We played Arkansas on friday for years. Growing up thats the game i went to more than any other because it was easier to get tickets.
SEC is a fan of tradition, even when one of their members is acting like a teenage girl who had a breakup with her boyfriend.

Why would we leave? The SEC has given us so much and we are appreciative of what we have been given.
Heck, I tell almost every LSU fan I meet IRL how much we appreciate the Thanksgiving game. Thanks to that we really "won" conference realignment.
I think LSU has also really benefitted from the SEC brand (especially that year LSU got to the BCS game with two losses), but their AD doesn't seem to be very gracious about it.

Well I for one appreciate that the SEC scrapped the tradition of LSU playing Arky Thanksgiving weekend to accommodate our needs.
In your analogy LSU is a tattooed biker bad boy we are using to make our preppy ex-boyfriend jealous, and it is working better than we ever could have hoped.
You won't see a statement from the A&M AD bitching about the SEC being unfair, no sir...

interesting that you chose to make A&M the chick in this scenario

Well we kinda expected to once our daddy (the state) hired a limo (the SEC Network) so the entire SEC could go to the prom in style.

It was his analogy.
And it was a good one.

So your angle as an LSU fan is to claim that Aggies on average are DUMBER than y'all?

Great question.
The answer is that the other teams get something they want.
A&M got a Thanksgiving game, we are cool.
USC got a schedule deal that works well with their Clemson rivalry
Everyone gets at least one thing they want except for LSU.
We didn't get much of anything we really cared about, as far as I know -- keeping in mind, though, that I, unlike most fans on the Rant, can't actually speak for my university's administration, and nobody here will tell me how to earn that privilege .
Part (not all, just part) of LSU's fans' problem, I think, is they are a bit too proud of the "no rivalries" thing. They trivialize other rivalries while simultaneously getting whacked over the head by the fact that they don't have a "tradition" to protect on the same level as the TSIO or DSOR or even the intra-division rivalries like WLOCP, the Iron Bowl, or the Egg Bowl. In order to accommodate LSU fully, the program has to convince far too many people to raze their traditions without having much to offer in return, not even a "hey, we lose a rivalry too!"
Frankly, I think the best bet for the program, and for the fans, is to open themselves up to the idea of developing a top-notch rivalry. That way, it won't matter who's up or who's down. They'll still have that rivalry whether Tennessee is up and giving Bama a fight, or Florida (just to use their current one, not suggesting it has to be their long-term one) is down and rolling over, or vice versa in both cases. I get that they're still going to take issue with all sorts of things, but it's better than nothing, and a whole helluva lot healthier, emotionally speaking, for the fanbase.

That's really weak.
Side note, it's who can read, not that can read.
