Not really.
There's just a lot more national media attention now because of all the success LSU has had in the last 15 years.
Only local media followed the clusterfark hirings and firings in the 80s and 90s.
As bad as things may seem now, they are child's play compared to what went on back then.

Well, maybe Miles will change some shite & quit losing to shitty Arkansas & Ole Miss teams.

A very predictable consequence of the policies of Bobby Jindal.
Without his conservative fiscal policies and him not letting the state spend money it didn't have, Louisiana would be in worse shape that Detroit. I know penny pinching hurts but I wish our federal govt had the balls to say no and the discipline Bobby has.

This was one of Ole Miss' best teams in the post Vaught era. They're going to the Sugar Bowl for the first time in forever.
This was one of Arkansas' best teams in the post Petrino era. Since JJ made Petrino quit, I think they were 4-25 at some point in league play. They've really dug out of quite a hole and won 5 league games this year. They've got a lot to squeal about lately.
It wasn't that we lost, but how we lost. Specifically the offensive shite show.

Money it didn't have because of the tax policies of Bobby Jindal.

Look, I agree that we should spend money wisely on priorities such as roads, schools and other services that a majority of us agree that state and local government should supply.
The problem with Jindal's policy was that he dogmatically believes (as much of the GOP does) that when you cut taxes that the magic growth fairy will produce enough revenue and more to offset the inital loss of funding produced by a tax cut.
Growth does offset some of the lost revenue but we are nowhere near the point on the so called Laffer curve where each new tax cut is a slam dunk to produce more revenue than is lost due to the tax cut.
I'm sure I'm doing a terrible job of explaining this but it's Voodoo Economics 101. Bush 41 was right.
Bobby was dogmatically doing what he believed he needed to in order to win the GOP nomination. He failed at that and the result is a state scrambling to plug budget holes created by his tax policies.
It's called "Starve The Beast".

LSU shouldn't be losing to either very often.

Agreed.
But I figured before the season started that we were likely to lose 2 out of the 4 games in November.
3 November losses was more than anyone expected but 2 losses wasn't all that shocking considering how brutal November looked at a glance. 3 in a row was definitely shocking as was the way we lost all 3.

I'm going to revise this statement now.
It's obviously a lot more complex than that.
A big part of the problem was the repeal of the Stelly Plan. That repeal effort was well underway before Jindal took office and Jindal didn't jump on board until late in the game. The Stelly Plan repeal is responsible for a good chunk of the annual shortfall of tax revenue.
Jindal's dogma led him to oppose any and all efforts to replace that lost revenue.
In a nutshell, the problem is that people want more shite from government than they are willing to pay for. Thus the Stelly Plan repeal: "I don't want to pay for this shite so let somebody else pay."
LINK
That's also the problem (on a much larger scale) at the federal level. People aren't willing to pay for the shite they demand that government provide. I have zero faith in either party to rectify this.

I agree, that's why I used the word "fairly".
But, gun rights and pro-life do go a long ways in Louisiana.

I thought his stance was that he wanted to raise taxes to cover the propsed spending but they wouldn't let him, so he said fine, no more pending.

Amen. Whenever I hear anyone start their arguments about what is wrong with education is lack of funding/budget cutbacks I immediately dismiss anything they have to say. Education systems nationwide are dripping in money compared to 50 years ago yet the product is not near what it used to be. Spending is not the problem.

My question is...why did these folks use work emails and not their side personal accounts?
Are they not smart enough to know this?
