Because he supports gun rights and is pro-life? That's great and all but he is far from fiscally conservative

Our entire administration is acting like teenage drama queens. The way this is going down, you'd think Miles went 4-8 a couple years running, and was rumored to be doing the Sandusky thing.

He has the program on stable footing, has no personal scandals, he simply hasn't won the West (or beat Bama) in a few years. There's no reason to burn everything to the ground for that.

If this keeps up, not only will we lose Miles, we won't be able to replace him with even a mid-major coach, the place will be too damn toxic.

Coming from a woman, do y'all have a bunch of women running the show down there???

Just this has turned into a very "We tried to impeach the President of the Junior League and didn't get the votes we needed" type of aftermath.

What's needed is to not have politics ruin our athletic department.

Mainly because the guy he was running against is known by most only as someone who cheated on his wife with prostitutes. He got like 28% of the female vote

one of the only things to calm this whole mess down is to relieve Alleva of his duties as AD. No matter what he says from now on regarding CLM will be believed by anyone including the coach. If the coach knows he has no backing from his boss, there isn't any possible way he can do the job he is paid to do. Ridding LSU of Alleva is the only solution.

sometimes you want a pro?

A lot of people ask me, 'Kenny Powers, you're a giant star. You can get any woman. Have you ever paid for sex?' And the answer is yes, I have. And it's actually kinda cool. You can negotiate practically anything and sometimes, even just kind of do stuff in the moment that you never agreed to pay for and it goes by without much argument.

Les is honestly one of the good guys in college football.
LSU should be ashamed of the treatment the man has received but it doesn't look like they are.
Just disgusting.

Have some class LSU.

This begs the next question: who is the leak?

I read through several and there really isn't anything too juicy there besides the leak. They were smart enough to know they'd get FOIA'd.

LSU to release over 2k emails about Miles?

The emails have already been released.

To Zurik at WVUE in NOLA.

This story broke last night.

The emails are actually somewhat reassuring as they confirm a lot of things.

Such as... they know the leaks were an absolute disaster that need to be stopped.

quote:

Consider this November 29 exchange between Alleva and Chatelain. They discussed an ESPN story that reported the Miles decision was made during the third quarter of the Texas A&M game.

Alleva wrote to Chatelain, "Leak. I know where. I told you on phone."

Chatelain replied, "That leak has caused problems thorough out this ordeal. Put us all in tight spots. Would not do anything about it. Just be careful. Will discuss in person when we can. "

Also, if you read the whole article, it's clear that Miles' job isn't secure at all. The decision to let him have another year was complex and that equation is very fluid. To translate that from Miles-ese, Miles' seat could be very hot again this time next year. With a new governor (Don't let the door hit you in the arse, Bobby), the state funding situation will likely be very different going forward so that will change the political part of the equation. Not to mention Jindal was a huge Miles supporter and the new governor is not as of yet.

I get the impression that the board is going to do their best to lock shite down tight next time and if/when they fire Miles it will happen with the quickness as it did with Richt at UGA. They seem to be eager to learn from what went wrong. That's a good sign.

I hope Miles goes 15-0 next year. I hope I'm wrong about him. But I've lost all faith in him and Cameron to turn this around. I think he has another year or two tops.

Yeah, well that's after 8 years of Jindal doing his best to starve LSU (and everything else in the state budget) of funding.

A very predictable consequence of the policies of Bobby Jindal.
