Face it. Purdue made him quit the B10.

Last time Purdue had a QB drafted was Curtis Painter in 2009. Tell me about Painters success as an NFL QB??? His greatest accomplishment was helping the Colts solidify the #1 pick to draft Andrew Luck

LSU just has to hope he doesn't steal a laptop or else Auburn will try to steal him away. Amirite?

Does the national championship after being terrible somehow erase the fact that auburn is the most fickle team in CFB? You should know a thing or two about the possibility of being terrible with solid players is all I'm saying

Eh, as a LSU fan, you shouldn't be making criminal jokes when 3 of the last 5 starting QBs on your team were arrested.

I'm not sure I see the problem. Good quarterbacks can play for terrible teams, and vice versa. Hell, UF under Boom had a pretty good team if they replaced Driskel with, you know, somebody who knew his arse from a hole in the ground.

@BenKercheval: A Purdue QB transferring to LSU and being a possible upgrade is so college football.

I guess I don't follow why you are making fun of LSU for this. We are adding depth to a position we need depth at. He won't play this year, but may be valuable next year while we get either Harris or Franks ready.

LSU is not taking this kid to come in and play right away; he has to sit a year. Simply a depth precaution and maybe a starting position. Who knows.

Bern Kercheval (bleacher report)

quote:

Ben Kercheval comes to Bleacher Report after spending three years with College Football Talk and NBCSports. Having lived in multiple college towns over the years, the collegiate game holds an extra special place in Ben's heart just to the left of the space reserved for Mila Kunis but right below the spot set aside for terrible pop music. Also, he watches "The Bachelor" and, no, he doesn't have a man card for you to take.

does he still play or did he retire after the Aint's finally won something. Obviously there was no where to go but down knowing the history of that organization.

Good God. Apparently they've got the good drugs in Bloomington to go along with the scenery.

No offense but if you couldnt tell that was sarcasm, and i know sometimes that is hard to pick up on the internet, then you are probably legit retarded.

Again no offense.
