because you viewed them as an awful football school.
Purdue has had 1 winning season since 2008. ONE. But if I guess Drew Bress playing there 15 years ago makes up for all that.

We're not talking about Purdue's recent record, we're talking about your complete ignorance of basic football history.

In the 1960s, Purdue became known as 'Quarterback U' and 'Cradle of Quarterbacks' by media and rivals such as Ohio State and Notre Dame due to its prominent QBs. Between 1967 and 1974, Purdue QBs Len Dawson and Bob Griese started five Super Bowls, winning three; Cecil Isbell led the Green Bay Packers to a NFL title in 1939, Elmer Oliphant led the Buffalo All-Americans to a disputed NFL title in 1921; Purdue has produced NFL starting QBs in Mike Phipps, Gary Danielson, Jim Everett, Mark Hermann, and Kyle Orton; Scott Campbell and Curtis Painter were well-known backup quarterbacks, Joey Elliott is a starting QB in the Canadian Football League. The tradition has continued through to this day with Drew Brees winning the Super Bowl XLIV, in which he was also named MVP.[6][7][8][9][10][11] 15 Purdue QBs went on to the NFL; Purdue is tied for first with Alabama in producing Super Bowl winning quarterbacks.[12][13] According to ESPN.com, Purdue QBs have won (and started)[14] more NFL games than any other school; thrown for the most touchdowns and yards in the NFL. Purdue QBs have won more League TD titles (14 through the 2012 NFL season) than any other school.

But EYE am and EYE don't care how many great QB's Purdue has produced in the past their record over the past decade has been trash and it's highly unlikely any transfer LSU gets will be a significant upgrade over their current roster.

Who's an auburn fan to be scoffing at a 3-9 season? Already forgot about when y'all had that same record 2 years ago?

I'll help. So y'all are happy with a reject from Purdue? A great QB school, who told him he wasn't good enough to play for them? Seems they would know best if they're so good at producing QBs. Maybe Lsu and their recent success with QBs can turn him around tho

And played in the NC the next year
Whens the last time Purdue won an NC? The best they could do w/ Breezus was a 3-way tie for the Big 10 Championship. Their 1st in 30 years
But again, tell me more about Purdue's relevancy in CFB
