It's our final home game. I believe it is common practice to have our band perform an extended halftime show, therefore there is no time for opposing teams band to also perform.

Apparently no opposing band is allowed to play in TS due to all of these celebrities performing halftime.
I have some friends in the AUMB who are pissed because they were told they couldn't performe halftime this week.

No, we aren't.
You can't tell an opposing AD what to do with the seats that are given to them.
You can however deny their request to have their band perform on your field, which is what happened.
