It reminds me of the Spurrier complaints Florida fans had after the 2001 season...

He got tired of it, said he couldn't handle our ridiculous expectations anymore, said frick everyone and left for the NFL.

That didn't end up working out too well for Florida.

LSU could be luckier I guess if they make a change.

Logically, though, I don't think they should.

If we don't win the next 2 I think we'll have a new coach and rightfully so

If a coach doesn't have higher expectations of his team than the fans do then I don't want him

Extremely high expectations means you are an elite program.

I agree for the most part

But Saban was the best they've had.

And Tennessee didn't run off Neyland.

Love how the SEC rant talks shite about Miles during the season and about how over rated and terrible he is, then in the off-season when LSU fans want him gone yall pump him up and call us retards for wanting that. ...

There is a difference in the "best coach" in your history and the "winningest coach" in your history. You still have the "winningest" coach in LSU history. You do not still have the "best" coach in LSU history.

Yall fired Ron Zook for the same production that LSU is getting now and got Urban. Just sayin.

actually we currently have both. Miles is the winningest and best coach in LSU history.

i know what you're trying to say...it just doesn't work that way

You honestly think Les is the best coach in LSU history? If so, please elaborate.

stats

wins, win%, SEC West titles, SEC championships, NCs, OOC record, never lost to UAB....etc.

also...the SEC is much much more difficult since Miles has been at LSU than when Saban was here.

but if this year finishes bad, and next year is no better and we lose to Alabama and Arkansas AGAIN, it's certainly time to re-think things because the program is not what it once was recently at that point.

i can agree with this...especially with the recruiting classes we've been pulling and a lot of players returning

While i understand the point you are trying to make if you look at their times AT LSU Miles is better. You can't compare a coach to a guy that accomplished most of his success at another school. Saban left LSU went to the NFL, which i believe was the right move, then went to Bama, also the right move, and has done what he's done. I would argue though that without the NFL experience Saban wouldn't be as good as he is at Bama.

You make a compelling argument. Miles is the best in your history. I hope you keep him forever.
