What were we supposed to do?
Report that AU paid Cam 200k to play football for them, perhaps?

I guess your fricking retarded. It is a self imposed sanction for a kid who never played a snap of football for LSU. Unlike you cheating frickers who have played an ineligible player all year.

How could the player affect the outcome of the game?

He never saw the field and was booted from the team before the season started. The 2009 season

Actually it was one coach. He was fired as soon as Miles found out.
Didn't the investigation turn up other violations related to impermissable contact with other recruits that were just reported by LSU in October? Are you sure you are covering everything that was reported?

You're going to be bitterly disappointed if you expect the people actually involved in the investigation to come to the same conclusion you have.

Auburn and Arizona State is tied with the most NCAA sanctions since they have been reporting them. Soon, the War Chickens will claim this title.

It will come out. Probably not very soon, but someone will talk eventually.

I'm patient.

LOL at LSU fans on this board being the NCAA moral police but is having to take away 2 valuable schollys for one of their coaches breaking NCAA rules.

LOL at thinking that since you 'self reported it' takes away from the fact that it happened.

LSU fans need to make sure their own closets are clean.
LOL at the aubies trying to blow smoke over the iceberg coming straight at them.

Camgate does not come close to equaling Akiem Hicks being removed from LSU. Hope this makes you feel better about your title*.

I love Emmert's quote on the Newton investigation

After commenting on how he was pleased with the ruling, he dropped a line "The burden of proof for the NCAA is greater than the burden of proof for some blogger out there".

I found it pretty funny.

I do think that, but I could be wrong. It's really not importaant what I think or what you think, it is important what the NCAA determines happened and what really happened. One of those none of us will likely know for sure.

The article indicates it was more than that. Nothing major, but it sounded like it was from alot of people and not just that coach. Maybe I misunderstood the article.

The truth will come out eventually. It generally does.

I said the same regarding Bush.

I don't harbor ill will towards your team, but you did cheat by buying a player.

Well obviously if they cheated with one player they cheated with them all.

I don't see how anyone can call LSU cheaters in this scenario. They fired the corch as soon as they knew he violated NCAA rules, and the player was kicked off the team. THEN they self-reported and self-imposed restrictions.

I'll have to trust investigators with far more knowledge than you about the entire situation to come to that decision.

And so far, all you hear out of anyone involved is how Auburn is implicated in nothing.

the violations surrounding former LSU signee Akiem Hicks and former assistant coach D. J. McCarthy, who recruited him. The school did not identify either person but sources have confirmed McCarthy and Hicks were the ones involved.

Perhaps they found an errant text or 2, but that kind of thing is inevitable. The sanctions are for the Hicks/McCarthy saga.

That is clearly what I meant. I wish I could have thought of those words instead of saying something completely different.
