Heh - aubbies are collecting so much ill will these days it's pretty comical.
I hope this is a closed case for LSU and the NCAA is done with y'all.

Because that whole self-reported, self penalized thing went over your head.

"The fact that we self reported this months ago does not compare to the situation at Auburn dip shite. We came forward as soon as we got wind of it. And for that we will not be punished by the NCAA. The same can't be said for AU"
This is the way it SHOULD go, but in the fricked up bizarro world of the NCAA they punish schools who bend over backwards getting to the bottom of the truth and offering contrition over fairly minor issues like LSUs while turning a blind eye towards a school arrogantly and brazenly playing an ineligible player who has a firestorm of controversy and known NCAA violations against him. You DON'T get reinstated when your uncle meets with agents without your knowledge (see Andre Smith in Sugar Bowl against Utah) but your "lack of knowledge" is rewarded when YOUR DAD SOLICITS $180,000 from boosters. This is the kind of bizarro world that you have to account for with the NCAA. They kick you in the teeth when you work with them and they then pat you on the back and "reward" you with kind words and little mercy but they let you get away with it when you tell them to frick off like Auburn has done with the Newton situation.

Instead of these self imposed penalties I would love to have seen Les Miles call up the NCAA and tell them to "Frick off and have a nice day" ...

LSU overpunished itself.
Even before that, we fired the offending coach, and the player never saw the field. AU could learn a lesson in class and honor from LSU. . .or maybe LSU could learn how to cheat better from you guys?

LOL at LSU fans on this board being the NCAA moral police but is having to take away 2 valuable schollys for one of their coaches breaking NCAA rules.
LOL at thinking that since you 'self reported it' takes away from the fact that it happened.
LSU fans need to make sure their own closets are clean.

It significantly reduces the chance of an investigation or probation. LSU is in the clear on this one it seems.
It's funny though.. two of the most corrupt football programs in the history of CFB are the ones makin the jokes Get back to me when we're triple-repeat offenders or whatever Bama is up to now
If you ain't cheatin you ain't tryin

You should read up on the violation before making a fool out of yourself.

We handled it right. We could have said "we didn't know what he was doing".
It worked for AU.
LSU handled it with honor, integrity, and class.
AU, not so much.

100% on point. LSU started this a year ago, before the Cam conspiracy. If Auburn skates, then LSU, or any other school would be IDIOTS to EVER self report ANYTHING to those clowns EVER AGAIN. Just follow Auburn's "prove it" strategy.
