God forbid the fans not want to put the head coach of our divisional opponent on a big screen for every recruit to see

We've got a former Tennessee coach as AD now.

You seem to derive a lot of self-worth from teenage football players.

Yes I'm sure If Saban has taken the Browns job, then decided to bail and go to Auburn 2 years later the alabama fan base would be TOTALLY fine with it

but LSU has no rivals so y'all shouldn't care.

bro, you don't settle for shite

If the fan base creates an idea that they're happy with just ten win seasons or just conference titles, it shows players/recruits that it is acceptable to be anything but the best.

Nope.

Indeed.

I wonder how many recruits know that. And I wouldn't expect UT to invite him back for some celebration either.

No. It's national title or bust, settling for ANYTHING less isn't the right way to do things.

Not a single Alabama player actually gives a damn what fans think. In fact, know-it-all fans who immerse themselves in the team to the point of damn near obsession is the shite these D1 guys sit around and make fun of while they smoke a blunt.

Trust me, I know.

source: I interned at UF as a strength coach for 5 months and witnessed it daily. I also played college basketball. Know-it-all fans, who actually know just about dick, are the absolute worst.

his name wouldn't appear anywhere on campus or in any LSU literature such as media guides, etc.

So they all say "2003 National Champs - Head Coach - Nobody"

Mother of God. You really feel like you play a meaningful part in a college football team's success, don't you?
