No one has ever said it would. The only people making that jump are LSU fans.

has such a threat to run the ball then why did they start cooper at ole miss citing his ability to run?

I don't think that's why they started Cooper Bateman, I think the announcers said something like he was a better runner than Coker which isn't entirely true.

You people sure are sensitive this morning. WW made a truthful statement about last years game and like three of you took that as a slight against BH. Stop reading too much into things.

Coker has made many clutch scrambles for first downs this season, laughy

I'm not being sensitive. I took his comment the exact way he intended. You're just playing stupid for some odd reason.

I think it comes down to Harris for LSU. Harris seems to be his most dangerous on 3rd down especially on 3rd and long. This season he has thrown for 1098 yards and 506yds have come when LSU is facing 3rd & at least 7. His ability to scramble and/or come up with the big play will be the factor in the game if UA can not contain him on 3rd down.

I hear what you're saying but LSU really doesn't throw the ball unless it's 3rd and long so that's usually the only time he gets a chance.

Coker has wheels himself and unlike most quarterbacks punishes defensive backs

He got hit by an A&M defender (which is like getting hit by a 6 year old girl) and stayed on his feet and the gumps think he is Tebow.

Yeah that's totally what happened.

Your awesome fans on here making it impossible to rationally discuss Alabama never happens

He knows exactly what his Bama ilk was trying to say. Patton is just in full troll mode right now.

You are assuming intention behind a pretty straight forward sentence and I'm playing stupid.

You should be BH will have 100yds rushing and 1TD.

If UA LB's are doing their jobs and if not LF will be running wild on check downs!

Bama has made it a point of emphasis to get off the field on 3rd downs this year and they have improved greatly. They have changed up packages and put in guys like Williams, Evans and Foster to add more closing speed.

Harris is really fast. And he could definitely hurt Bama on a scramble.

On the other hand, he's hasn't gotten hit that much--and this game will be a new level of physical for him.

My assumption is an easy one to gather from the context of his post. It's not rocket science.

Just re watched the games from the last few seasons couldn't sleep) and noticed LSU got a lot of 3rd down conversions off QB runs on 3rd down.

Maybe I'm forgetting, but I don't think Mett has had a 3rd down scramble for a first down in his life. Jennings did it a couple times last year I remember though. Harris is the most elusive of the 3.

Gotcha. Just a random comment inserted into the thread for no reason

You're right. It was silly to assume that he was trying to trying make a post relevant to the op's topic
