Read it again. I said the last four years averaged approx 100 underclassmen each year. Then I gave the next four years for comparison.
The contrast shows that more underclassmen are entering the draft early. Which is what I originally said. Which is why Malzahn and other coaches are playing more freshman each year.

100 per year, nationally? Or just the SEC?
100 per year nationally is actually a very low percentage of third year players. The overwhelming majority stay at least four years.

Of course nationally. It may be a small number considering the amount of underclassmen, but it doesn't change the fact the number has increased 4 fold from 2010 to 2014. Malzahn has said in an interview he will not hold a freshman back if he can help the team. Based on this thread it looks as if O is following suit.
