Dude, one of our coaches illegally recruited a player. This was discovered by our own compliance group before he had a chance to play.
The player sat the bench, never participated, and didn't have his scholarship offer extended. The coach was fired at the end of the season.
That player was playing for the defending Super Bowl champions last weekend. Never saw the field at LSU.
That is LSU's only major violation in football.
Auburn, OTOH, had the most major violations in the SEC - until A&M joined.

Nice deflection, but according to your brethren, we didnt cheat in several of those instances. So which is it?

Dale brown got punished and that prevented an lsu basketball national championship. Why wasn't gene chizik punished so auburn was prevented from winning a football national championship.

You have that backwards, you have to provide the proof of your accusation.
But let me skip ahead for you. I'm sure you're referring to when an LSU assistant coach bought a recruit a burger at the McDonalds on State St. back in '86.
Here's what the report had to say:
quote:
Louisiana State University has been placed on probation for a
period of one year for violations occurring in the sport of football.
...
No sanction affecting postseason competition or television
appearances was imposed against the university.
...
"The violations found in football were not considered serious in
nature," said Frank J. Remington, chair, NCAA Committee on
Infractions
...
"It should be emphasized, however, that one current assistant
football coach violated a recruiting rule when he transported a
prospect to a restaurant and entertained the young man for a meal.
Their database records it as a major violation because it was part of the same report on a major women's basketball violation.
It also says the men's basketball program was still under investigation.

s, you have to provide the proof of your accusation.
Welp, go on over to the NCAA database and see for yourself. I dont need to prove anything. My statement is reality.

Oh so you proved it for me. to admiting you were wrong
ETA. I do like this quote from you
quote:
I'm sure you're referring to when an LSU assistant coach bought a recruit a burger at the McDonalds on State St. back in '86.
as if it was only a burger at mcdonalds

It was, one block off campus. I was in school at the time and we were all completely confounded by it when the news came out.
They were out to get Dale because of when he called the NCAA Nazi bastards for not letting him pay for a kid to go home to see his sick dad.

I like how you leave out all the other stuff, like giving the recruit cash, tickets to sell, seafood dinner, lodging for family, etc..., but yeah only a burger
LSU Football was directly put on probation, that is a major violation. not sure why you are having a hard time with this

Because it seems to be there. Let me link that again

Nope there it is again.

Is it no there or not needed?
quote:
And didn't even comprehend them
Really? One implicates an advantage, and the other is part of the definition . It is the motivation behind an act that makes it cheating.
Like intent is a required motivation behind Murder, rather than just plain homicide .

its not?
no, see if you read every word in that definition and understand them, you would see it isnt
quote:
Nope there it is again.
So you have read it more than once and are still having the issue? yikes
quote:
Really?
Yes really.
I am not sure why this is so difficult, prayers sent
ETA, I have decided to help you out with definitions young man. Would you like me to break out the definition of every word in the sentence or just the ones you dont understand.
Please quote and bold the words you dont know
quote:
to break a rule or law usually to gain an advantage at something
I know which one is the most difficult, but do you have others?

Now what about the Oxford dictionary quote?
You are just a typical plainsman. It is ok. I know honesty and integrity aren't important in your cow town.
