You lost to LSU. At home. LSU finished ahead of you in the SEC. LSU shared the same regular season record as you did.
I'm sorry you're hanging your hat on beating a common opponent and how that somehow makes you better than the team you lost to weeks earlier.

But, bragging on beating LSU during a six season losing skid of Archer and Hallman isn't tipping over the smallbus.
LSU won 4 of the 5 or 5 of the 6, when both were highly rated 1980s programs.

upsets happen. we had the higher ranking at the end of the year and the better record.
