I'm pretty sure our best team in the last 20 years was either the '92 or '93 Ags...and both teams laid waste to LSU.
Both of those teams were 12-1.
Let's also not forget the '94 Ags who went 10-0-1 on probation and hammered LSU at Kyle.

Bowl games are not SEC games..
LSU and ATM both 6-2 in SEC West..LSU won roadie vs ATM..thus own tiebreaker..
The SEC isn't the Big-12 trying to impress the nation, and playing for silly AP rankings..
The SEC rank and file is earned head-to-head.

Yeah, LSU did as far as records go.
Who cares about a meaningless bowl game?
All that matters is the SEC. I don't even think about anything else. LSU hasn't lost an out of conference regular season game since 2002, so our whole focus is on the SEC.

This is the same logic as saying :
LSU is a supposed "better" football team with a 10-3 finish and a loss to clemson in the chick fil a bowl...
while Texas A&M finished 11-2, beat bama, and slammed OU in the Cotton Bowl.
