Everyone is criticizing the strategy of Miles to try to throw some passes from the 32. Lsu people now suggest they wanted to run the ball. They lost about 18 yards on 2 negative plays knocking them out of field goal range.

My question is if you run it up the middle for no gains (only had 40 rush yards the whole game)and a screen was just sniffed out for a big loss, and all 3 tailbacks are hurt, and your kicker narrowly misses at 49 yard field goal, aren't you criticizing Miles for not trying to pick up 10 yards in the air? What if Miles says after the game that he did not want to throw the ball in that situation b/c he had no confidence in avoiding the sack which would have pushed it out of fieldgoal range? Aren't you saying, "come on where's your guts"

Lsu fans, you can't have your cake and eat it to. Les was in a no win situation

no this was the smart play if they gain no yardage he can comforatably kick a 50 yarder, he has done it atleast twice this yr. If this happens the players didnt execute all Miles can do is put them in position to win.

Why don't you worry about your own team underachieving and let LSU fans deal with Les.

look up the % of 50 yard field goals on the road in the SEC since 2000.

What are the chances of making a 50 yarder vs a 35 yarder? What are the chances the fanbase just can't ACCEPT THE FACT THAT the coach played it conservative settling for a 50 yarder when he could have completed a pass?

I tend to agree with you somewhat, but the offensive coaching has been horrible and confusing all year long. It was no surprise that Crowton called a couple of questionable pass plays (and not just that they were passes, either) in that situation. LSU has been doing that type of crap consistently all year long.

Didn't lsu kick a 50 yard field goal earlier in the game? On a side note, the word "philosophical" is not allowed on the sec rant.
